With ongoing emission legislation, it’s a challenge to build a metal-to-metal seal because of the high unit load and machined surfaces; but today, using a combination of Thermafoil Flexible Graphite and metal, EGC V-Band and Marmon Joint Seals can stand up to the high temperature and high vibration in today’s engine and emissions systems. In fact, the EGC product adds integrity to the joint and offers adjustment and articulation to the process. V-Band and Marmon Joint Seals are found primarily in the Heavy Truck and Aerospace industries.
