Description
Tri-Clad is the encapsulation of flexible graphite within an exterior metallic foil or cladding. The cladding (a stainless steel or customer selected material) protects the graphite from oxidation when temperatures exceed 850 degrees F. Tri-Clad, when used as a seal or gasket, is vibration-resistant and can be used in aerospace, heavy truck, or compressor applications. The Tri-Clad seal is easy to remove, provides protection from mechanical abuse, and resists environmental exposure. Tri-Clad improves performance and can extend the life of a standard seal.
