Consulting
We take a consultative approach at the start of every project because the best solution begins with a clear understanding of your challenge, constraints, and performance goals. Our team works directly with you to define the problem before moving into design, development, or manufacturing.
That process starts with the right questions. Depending on the application, we evaluate factors such as available power or wattage, start and control temperatures, ramp-up requirements, mounting surfaces, available sensing areas, and broader system needs to determine the most effective path forward.
By collaborating early, we can help identify the right materials, the right design approach, and the right integration strategy before unnecessary time and cost are introduced into the project.
Research & Analysis
Once the project requirements are defined, we use research and analysis to evaluate materials, model performance, and identify the most promising direction before physical development begins. Our team uses advanced software and modeling tools to reduce guesswork and build a better technical foundation for the solution.
Our capabilities include thermal simulation software that helps us assess whether a material or concept has potential in the early stages of development. By identifying likely performance outcomes sooner, we can accelerate development and make more informed decisions about how to proceed.
We also use modeling tools to help define thermal demands, material selection, and power requirements. This is especially important in applications where overdesign can reduce durability, shorten product life, or limit energy efficiency.
Engineering & Integration
Our engineering and integration capabilities are focused on turning technical requirements into functional, manufacturable solutions. We combine material science expertise with practical design tools to refine existing systems, develop new concepts, and integrate our solutions into your product or assembly.
To support development, we use 3D printing to create mockups and functional prototypes directly from digital files. This allows us to evaluate fit, speed the tooling process, and communicate integration concepts more clearly during development.
We also support integration with on-site precision machining and a 5-axis waterjet system capable of three-dimensional cutting from 0° to 90°. These capabilities help us move beyond flat stock and support more complex geometries, assemblies, and component requirements.
By combining design, prototyping, machining, and integration support, we help bridge the gap between concept and production-ready solution.
Testing & Validation
Testing and validation are critical to confirming real-world performance before a product moves into production or broader implementation. We test both existing products and manufactured prototypes to simulate actual field conditions, compare performance, and identify opportunities to improve function or reduce cost.
Our process may include reviewing graphs and temperature profiles, making adjustments, and testing again to validate performance with greater confidence. In some cases, we have even set up customer equipment on our floor to prove out a concept under more representative operating conditions.
Our in-house lab and testing capabilities include tools such as FLIR thermal imaging cameras, data acquisition and logging software, an oscilloscope, thermal simulation software, a calorimeter, multimeters, and ovens. These resources support a more rigorous evaluation of material behavior, thermal response, and overall product performance.
