Milwaukee Valve Corporation, a global manufacturer of flow control products, has presented EGC Enterprises with the 2016 Partner of the Year award. The award recognizes “collaborative efforts and outstanding service” for providing triple offset seals for high-pressure butterfly valves (HPBV). The valves are made specifically for use on aircraft carriers for the US Navy.

During a presentation to all EGC employees, John Labellate, Vice president and Chief Operating Officer, said that Milwaukee Valve values the relationships with our supply chain partners and added, “that without EGC’s support and expertise we would have never finished the project on-time. Together, we worked hard to support the service men and women of the US Navy.”

“In the early stages of working together, communication and collaboration are vital in all partnerships,” said David Madden, Senior Buyer, Purchasing for Milwaukee Valve. “We didn’t really know each other and there we’re a lot of obstacles in the way of developing the product. Things like measurements. We had to make sure we were comparing apples to apples. But they (EGC) did their homework, came out several times to Wisconsin and we ultimately got on the same page,” said Madden. “I really appreciate the flexibility shown by EGC.”

From that point forward, the relationship blossomed and Milwaukee Valve was able to satisfy the stringent requirements of the US Navy. EGC played a big part in the process culminating in Partner of the Year recognition.

“This award is for everyone in the company,” said Austin Carosello, President of EGC. “And, I think it’s because we understand so very well what the EGC Quality Policy is about. Everyone, from engineering to manufacturing to customer service has put this policy to work for Milwaukee Valve and for the US Navy. For us to be considered a partner is quite impressive.
