Get your rings just like the champs do.

You’ve removed the valve bonnet and replaced the metal seal with a brand new, VSG pressure seal. But what about the stem packing? You’ve got to replace that too, right?

Most repair guys go to their truck and get out braided packing. Then, they cut every ring by hand, place them in the stuffing box one at a time and load each one individually. It takes a bunch of time and costs more than it should.

So, why not give the VSG Pro-Pack a shot?  It comes as a set of two Inconel jacketed end rings and as many as three, VSG high-density graphite center rings.  It contains no PTFE, has 20% less friction, costs less than braided packing, ships directly with your VGS pressure seal and, most importantly, will not leak.  In fact, after testing our stem packing for 2,500 cycles, there was NO sign of leaking or degradation.

The center rings are the sealing device.  It makes contact with the valve body ID and the stem and they’re made from the same manufacturing process as the VSG pressure seals.

The end rings enable the center to move up or down the shaft as a singular unit and act as a wiper to keep the shaft free of debris.  And, they contain NO PTFE! That’s important because PTFE is a blocking agent and can cause excessive pitting or corrosion of the valve stem and body.

Pro-Pack has 20% less friction than braided packing or die-formed rings and operates in temperatures of up to 1200°F and pressures of up to 10,000 PSI.
